Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, absolutely. Peeklet processes all camera feed frames, photos, and voice outputs strictly on-device. We do not transmit, store, or upload any images, video frames, or audio components to any remote servers. The app functions entirely offline.

Peeklet uses local iOS CoreML frameworks and AVFoundation camera feeds. The central reticle analyzes RGB values, map them to human-readable names via a preloaded database, and tracks bounding boxes of nearby elements. Automatic voice output uses local text-to-speech engines.

Daltonization is a matrix algorithm that shifts overlapping color wavelengths (specifically in the red/green bands) into distinct channels (like blue/yellow). This assists individuals with deuteranopia or protanopia to tell apart colors that otherwise look identical.

Yes. Although Peeklet provides camera and photo simulators, iOS contains system-wide GPU shaders. Under Care & Assist, we show steps to activate these filters under iOS Settings -> Accessibility -> Display & Text Size -> Color Filters.
